Challenge
Smith Barney, a division of Citigroup Global Inc., is a full-service financial firm that provides brokerage, investment banking and asset management services to corporations, governments and individuals around the world. The company had recently deployed a new cutting-edge browser technology platform to their offices in the Northern California region.
It became apparent that they would need an experienced and strong individual to come in and collaborate and work together as a team with everyone across the region. The company was in trouble because over the past few years they had heavily invested in these technologies as well as human capital but had not yet experienced a real return on their investment.
CrossBow Solution
The solution was to work closely with the branch management teams throughout the region in order to analyze each specific branch’s technology requirements. It was critical to build partnering relationships with critical stakeholders at each location. We built a strategic implementation plan based on feedback and observations. It was critical to present the value and benefits up front to all the participants in order to get immediate buy in and continued success. In this type of high expectation and intense pressure environment, we needed to quickly make things practical and useful in a meaningful way.
Result
Our success was wide spread across the region. We were able to create an atmosphere of learning and collaboration in each branch location. We enhanced the knowledge and effectiveness of company employees by leveraging this new technology platform. Employees gained because they could utilize the technology to increase their level of client service, become more efficient and effective, and in turn affect sales through an increase in Assets under Management.
