Mel Oza is a seasoned
restaurant industry veteran, having helped open and run
several restaurants from grounds up
Most recently
Oza was a consulting chef and the Wine Director for the
aforementioned Copper Restaurant, located in
Charlotte, and for Azitra
Restaurant in Raleigh. He has also
worked for Bistro M in Roanoke, Virginia, Nawab (various
locations) in Virginia,
Marigold in Chicago,
Illinois and Chakra in
Beverly Hills and
Irvine, California. Oza
graduated from the Institute of Hotel Management,
Catering and Nutrition in Ahmedabad, India. He
also holds Bachelors Degree in Marketing Management from
India.
Oza currently holds a Level
1 Certificate, Court of Master Sommeliers and is
pursuing a full diploma. Wine lists that he created for
Monsoon in Chicago and Copper and Azitra restaurants in
North
Carolina received an Award of
Excellence from Wine Spectator Magazine.
