ABS Learning Systems and the Money Management 4 Kids program is the brainchild of Adam B. Shaw.
For the past 25 years, Adam has successfully developed, managed and invested in
a wide range of business ventures, and he has been living the Money
Management 4 Kids program since his early childhood.
Previously, Adam developed and co-owned fitness facilities under the Gold's
Gym brand throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and Honolulu, Hawaii.
Beginning with one facility in Berkeley, California, the company (Gym Masters
Inc.) grew to nine locations with over 450 employees. During this period the
company was selected by Inc. Magazine as one of the
fastest-growing privately-held companies in the country and was placed on the
prestigious list of The Inc. 500 three years in a row. The
company was also selected by several leading industry publications as one of the
best-operated and most profitable companies in the fitness industry.
After the sale of his company, Adam was responsible for the physical expansion of 24-Hour
Fitness throughout Northern California and Hawaii.
Adam was raised in an entrepreneurial household in New York City. His
childhood was enriched by his constant and relentless pursuit of odd jobs around
the neighborhood ranging from shoveling snow and cleaning gutters to
establishing a successful ice cream distribution business in his late teens. It
was during this phase of his life that Adam realized it wasn't always about the
money as much as it was about the independence and freedom offered by the
unlimited opportunities that resulted from creative but sound financial
thinking.
Having experienced it firsthand, Adam believes that creating prosperity takes
time, discipline, courage, and practical money management skills. But just as
importantly, financial success requires the understanding that the power of
unlimited potential lies within oneself.
Money Management 4 Kids, the beginning of a journey that is
meant to last a lifetime.
